Our Story

Born from belief, built with love

Lucky Arts & Peace Foundation was established in 2026 by Shiv Kumar, driven by a deeply personal conviction — that mental peace is not a privilege, but a birthright. Growing up in Bihar, Shiv witnessed how communities could flourish when given creative outlets and spaces for inner stillness.

What started as informal meditation circles and art sessions in community halls has grown into a structured foundation with five distinct programs, serving hundreds of participants across Bihar.

We draw from Bihar's extraordinary spiritual heritage — from the Bodhi tree's shade in Bodh Gaya to the intricate lines of Madhubani art — weaving these traditions into contemporary healing practices that are free, accessible, and deeply human.

Mission & Vision

Our Mission
Nurture peace through art and mindfulness

To create accessible, inclusive spaces across Bihar where individuals — regardless of background or ability — can experience the healing intersection of creative expression and meditative practice. Every program we run is free or donation-based, ensuring no one is turned away.

Our Vision
A Bihar where inner peace is universal

We envision communities across Bihar where mental wellbeing is woven into daily life — where art is celebrated as healing, where children grow up with tools for emotional resilience, and where meditation is as common as morning prayer. We want every district to have an arts and peace space.

What We Stand For

Our Core Values

These principles guide every decision, every program, and every interaction we have.

Radical Accessibility

Art and peace belong to everyone. We run all programs free or on a voluntary contribution basis — no barriers, no exceptions.

Community First

We are shaped by, and exist for, the communities we serve. Every program emerges from listening deeply to the people around us.

Art as Medicine

Creativity is a profound healing force. We treat artistic expression as a therapeutic tool, not a hobby or luxury.

Rooted Wisdom

Bihar's spiritual and artistic heritage — from Bodh Gaya to Madhubani — is our foundation. We honour the old while building the new.

Our Roots

The Spiritual Heartland of India

Bihar is no ordinary place. Home to Bodh Gaya — where the Buddha attained enlightenment — and birthplace of Jainism, Bihar carries millennia of meditative wisdom in its soil. Its folk art traditions, especially Madhubani painting, are among India's most revered visual languages.

We are not just located in Bihar — we are nourished by it. Every program we design honours this extraordinary heritage while making it relevant and accessible to people of all backgrounds, especially today's youth.

Bodh Gaya

Where the Buddha found enlightenment — a living tradition of peace that guides our meditative work.

Madhubani Art

Bihar's ancient folk art tradition, centuries old, that inspires all our visual arts programming.

Nalanda Legacy

Once the world's greatest centre of learning — a reminder that Bihar has always been a place of wisdom.

Folk Traditions

Jat-Jatin, Sama-Chakeva, Bidesia — Bihar's living folk arts that connect us to land, season, and community.
